The LEADing Practice Customs & Border Services User Group & Industry Standard Committee is a non-profit organization that provides a global platform for the Customs & Border Services industry for thought-leaders, LEADing Practitioners and researchers to share industry best and LEADing Practices, conduct research and explore new ideas to continuously improve Customs & Border Service assets and tools for the future and how to apply them.

To secure the vast terrain of a country, Customs & Border Service agents, officers and specialists work together in tight collaboration with the nation’s different law enforcement agencies to protect, guard and secure the borders and front lines of their country. Fostering legitimate and safe travel is also a key goal of Customs & Border Services, which increases passenger security through effective risk assessment.

Some of the typical business and information flow and security challenges we often encounter are:

The Customs & Border Services User Group & Industry Standard Committee has the purpose to identify, develop and tailor standards and artefacts that are applied in specific and ongoing projects. It will help its members to speed up high impact initiatives such as Cost-Cutting, Performance Measurement, Single Point of Truth, Cloud and Mobile Device enablement.
